Lakeside Behavioral Health’s Virtual IOP provides structured group therapy for adults in Missouri and Illinois struggling with grief. Our CARF-accredited program meets 3 days per week via telehealth, combining clinical-level treatment with the peer support that individual therapy alone cannot provide.
How Virtual IOP Treats Grief
The Virtual IOP uses group therapy to address grief in a structured, supportive environment. The group format provides something individual therapy cannot: connection with others who understand loss firsthand.
What the program includes:
- Structured grief processing with licensed therapists
- Evidence-based techniques for managing emotional waves
- Peer support that reduces isolation and validates the grieving process
- Skill-building for coping with difficult moments and anniversaries
- Addressing co-occurring depression or anxiety within the program
- Rebuilding sense of purpose and daily engagement
Signs Virtual IOP May Be Right for Your Grief
Consider IOP if:
- Grief has persisted beyond what you expected or can manage alone
- You feel stuck, unable to accept the loss or move forward
- Isolation has become a significant barrier to healing
- Individual therapy alone has not been sufficient
- Co-occurring depression or anxiety has developed since the loss
