Lakeside Behavioral Health is a certified TRICARE TMS provider offering Brainsway deep TMS at our St. Louis and O’Fallon locations. TRICARE covers TMS for Major Depressive Disorder in qualifying patients.
TRICARE TMS Coverage Requirements
To qualify for TRICARE-covered TMS, you must meet these criteria:
- Diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Documented failure of at least 2 adequate antidepressant trials at therapeutic doses
- Trials must have lasted 6 to 8 weeks each at appropriate doses
- Clinical documentation prepared by your treating psychiatrist
Lakeside manages the entire authorization process, including preparing documentation and submitting the request to TRICARE.

The Authorization Process
- Schedule a psychiatric evaluation at Lakeside (314-916-3027)
- Psychiatrist reviews your depression treatment history and TMS candidacy
- Our team prepares and submits prior authorization to TRICARE
- Once authorized, daily TMS sessions are scheduled
- Attend sessions Monday through Friday for approximately 6 weeks
