Edward Flynn, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor and IOP Group Leader

Edward Flynn is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Lakeside Behavioral Health and a group leader for the practice’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). A nationally certified DBT clinician with more than a decade of experience, he leads Lakeside’s dialectical behavior therapy programming and guides clients through skills-based group and individual work.

Ed’s approach centers on Dialectical Behavior Therapy, complemented by person-centered, trauma-focused, and mindfulness-based methods as well as clinical hypnotherapy. He is especially focused on helping clients build distress tolerance and emotion-regulation skills, and his clinical experience informs his work with people navigating childhood trauma, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder.

He works with adults facing depression, anxiety, mood and personality disorders, relationship challenges, self-injury, and LGBTQ-related concerns, offering an affirming, nonjudgmental space for each client.
