Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy is a type of cognitive behavioral treatment with an emphasis on the psychosocial aspects of an illness. It is designed to focus on how each patient reacts to certain emotional situations involving personal relationships. DBT can help identify a person’s strengths, weaknesses, and negative thoughts that can lead to quick changes in emotion. Through therapy, these thoughts and changes can be transformed into stability in mood and increased social skills.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psychotherapy that is based on the idea that the way individuals perceive a situation is more closely connected to their reaction than the situation itself. Through CBT, a patient can change their negative thinking and behavior to improve their mood and functioning.
